Congratulations to the BOSS Fall 2018 Cohort Scholarship Recipient!
Congratulations to doctoral candidate Blake Urbach for receiving the scholarship for the 2018 cohort of Blast Off to Stellar Slides.
I applied for this scholarship because I am eager to participate in BOSS and learn more about the exciting world of contemporary presentation design and delivery. To date, I have not had formal training in slide development or presentation best practices. I have much to learn about storyboarding and design principles, and I am looking forward to the benefits of comprehensive and interactive instruction from Dr. Echo Rivera and the learning community of BOSS.
I am committed to conducting quality and participatory evaluations that build the capacity of my firm’s partners while improving new or existing grant-funded projects. Thus, my clients and the constituents of their projects will be the ultimate beneficiaries of my improvement in presentation skills and proficiencies. I believe that my participation in BOSS will provide the tools and competencies required to present project-specific findings and recommendations in a way that is more memorable, meaningful, and actionable. Thank you for this awesome opportunity to be a part of the upcoming cohort.
